Best Mobile Broadband Deals

3 have just started bundling an iPod Touch with MiFi mobile broadband WiFi.

As you probably know the iPod Touch is a fantastic mp3 player that also has many of the features and Apps of its big brother the iPhone.  Thanks to it’s WiFi capabilities you can surf the internet on its excellent web browser, stream BBC’s iPlayer, check out Facebook, play games online and download music.

The downside has always been that free WiFi connections are few and far between. 3 have the solution.  They are bundling MiFi. their mobile broadband modem that’s crossed with a WiFI router, with an iPod Touch in their latest deal.  This means that wherever you can get 3’s 3G service you will be able to connect your iPod Touch to the internet.

For £23 a month on a 24 month contract you get an 8GB iPod Touch, a MiFi modem and 5GB of internet access. According to 3 that’s roughly 72 hours of browsing, 800 songs and 400 applications. You can of course use your MiFi modem to connect your laptop and other wireless devices to your MiFi as well as your iPod Touch and 5GB is a huge download limit.

The Mobile Broadband Expert . 3, ipod touch, MiFi

3 have just announced the launch of a new ‘one-month’ mobile broadband tariff that offers 5GB of data download for £15 per month without the need to commit to an 18 month contract.

Much like the very popular SIM Only tariffs for mobile phone customers, You can sign up to this contract and use your existing 3 mobile broadband dongle (or buy one on eBay!).

According to 3, 5GB is enough to send 5,000 emails or about 50 hours of web surfing.

This new tariff is a good option for low risk mobile broadband.  Ideal for students or those who regularly move house as you can just cancel the contract if your new abode has poor 3 coverage.

It’s also a good next step for pay as you go mobile broadband users who find they are topping up every month.  You can use your 3 pay as you go dongle with the new SIM, although a new dongle will only cost you £19.99.

Most other £15 mobile tariffs only give you 3GB of data or less.
