* O2 offers an 18 month version of the same mobile broadband tariff for around £15 but without the 4 month promotional discounts.
If you want to pay less you’ll need to choose a Pay as you go mobile broadband deal although you’ll have to pay £30 to £60 for the usb modem upfront and some of the operators only offer a reduced product via Pay as you go. e.g. Vodafone only offer a maximum 3.6Mb download speed.
It’s important to note that the cheapest mobile broadband packages offer the lowest data download limits. If you download too much data and go over your data limit you will be charged for each MB of data you download. Below is a table with a summary of the charges, as stated by each mobile operator.
