There are loads of people who are itching to get there hands on the new iPad 2, but what is so different about the iPad 2 compared to the iPad. Well let’s just say that there have been many improvements that have been made.

The iPad 2 has many more features compared to its predecessor, although there is less of the iPad 2 to hold. Apple has been working on making the iPad 2 thinner and lighter compared to the original iPad, making it more comfortable for you to hold for a longer period of time. This is great, as it has been claimed that it will be difficult to put down, as there is so much you can do on it.

Like the first iPad, you can surf the web, watch movies, play games, listen to music, and even read eBooks, with the added bonus of not one, but two cameras. These are designed for HD video recording, as well as using it for FaceTime video calling, so you can talk to see your favourite people, and see their reactions too. There is a camera at the front of the iPad 2 and at the back, enabling you to switch from one to the other with ease. You could have loads of fun creating movies, and using Photo Booth, you can also create funky pictures with you and your friends.

The iPad 2 is said to be twice as fast as the iPad, which is said to make multitasking a whole lot smoother, meaning you won’t experience as many glitches in loading up apps, as it should happen a lot faster. It is thought that the game play on the iPad 2 will also be smoother as the graphics will load up quickly, and will be more realistic.

Although the iPad 2 is a lot thinner and weights less than the iPad, it still has the same amount of battery life. Apple claims that it will have 10 hours, when used for surfing the internet using Wi-Fi, however this would be a lot less if it was being used to play high quality graphic loaded games. But still 10 hours is a long time, especially if it is mainly used on your daily commute to work.

You may have heard of LED backlighting, when buying a new TV; the iPad 2 also incorporates this, creating vivid and bright picture quality. There is a screen size difference as the iPad 2 has a screen size of 9.7 inches compared to the iPad’s 10.1 inches. The great thing about the iPad is that you can rotate it either horizontally or vertically, and the display adjusts itself, allowing you to hold it whichever way is comfortable for you.

Like the iPhone and iTouch, the iPad uses Apple’s iOS operating system, which allows you to browse the net with the touch of a finger. The iPad 2 has thousands of apps, so you will be forever busy finding new ones. The iPad 2 can be used within milliseconds of pressing the home button, so you won’t have to wait for it load like you would with a laptop.

Each iPad 2 that is built has wireless technology, so it can automatically find Wi-Fi networks, which you can join using a password. If however you find that you outside without any Wi-Fi nearby, then you may consider investing in a 3G enabled iPad 2, as you can surf the net and check you emails, with out having to search for a Wi-Fi connection.
